First, travel motor (1) turns speed reducer (2). Then, the wheel drive transfers the power from speed reducer (2) to the wheels. The wheel drive is mounted partially inside the chain case and the drive housing.Power from speed reducer (2) is transferred from output shaft (3) to coupling (4) and axle (5). Output shaft (3) is splined to coupling (4). When axle (5) rotates, sprocket (6) drives chain (7), which is connected to the other two wheels. Axle (5) is supported by roller bearing (8). Axle (5) is connected to the wheel drive. The torque from the axle is therefore transferred to the wheel drive, and the machine moves.
