Use a suitable press and Tooling (A) in order to remove two bearing cones (23) and one bearing cup (24) from bearing cage (15).

Use Tooling (E) in order to remove the remaining bearing cup (24) (not shown) from bearing cage (15).

Remove spacer (25) from gear (18).

Remove bolts (26) and the washers from bearing cage (27). Use bolts (26) in order to remove bearing cage (27) from cover (28).

Use Tooling (F) in order to remove bearing cup (29) from bearing cage (27).

Remove nuts (31) and remove cover (32).

Remove tube assembly (33). Remove O-ring seal (34), from bearing cage assembly (36). Remove bolts (35). Install two of bolts (35) into Holes (X) and remove bearing cage assembly (36).

Attach Tooling (G) and a suitable lifting device to cover (28). The weight of cover (28) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Remove bolts (38), and the washers, and remove cover (28).

Use two people in order to remove gear (43) from case assembly (39). The weight of gear (43) is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Use two people in order to remove gear (42) from case assembly (39). The weight of gear (42) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).
