Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove upper grill (1). Remove lower grill (2) and position out of the way. Repeat this step for the opposite side of the machine.

Disconnect elbows (3) and (4).

Remove the bolts and use two people in order to remove rear grill assembly (5). The weight of rear grill assembly (5) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

Attach a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (6). The weight of aftercooler (6) is approximately 39 kg (85 lb). Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove aftercooler (6). Repeat this step for the remaining aftercooler. Installation Procedure
Install aftercoolers (6) in the reverse order of removal.
