SPOOL-DIFFERENTIAL 7T6217 - Caterpillar

1. Remove two screws and handle (2), four bolts (1) and cover assembly (3) from door. 2. Remove spring (7) from latch ring assembly (6).3. Remove three bolts (4) that hold latch assembly (5) in door.4. Remove the latch and latch ring assembly from the door. 5. Remove cotter pins, washers and pins (8). Remove link (9) from latch ring assembly (6) and latch assembly (5).6. Remove two screws and handle assembly (not shown) from the rear side of the door. 7. Remove lever and plate assembly (10) from the door. 8. Remove springs (11) and (13).9. Remove latch ring assembly (12). 10. Remove ring (14) from tumbler assembly (15).11. Remove screw (16) from the lever assembly. Remove the lever and link assembly. 12. Remove the cotter pins, washers and pins (18) from the lever and link assembly.13. Remove bearing (19) from the lever (17) with tooling (A). 14. Bend tab (22) and remove nut (23) from the lock assembly. Remove tumbler assembly (20) from plate (21).Install Cab Door Latch
1. Install tumbler assembly (1) in plate (2). 2. Install bearing in lever (3) with tooling (A), until the bearing is even (flush) with the edge of the lever. 3. Install links (4) to the lever with pins, washers and cotter pins (5). 4. Install the lever link assembly (6) on plate (2).5. Install ring (7). 6. Install latch ring assembly (9) and two springs (8) and (10) on the plate. 7. Put plate assembly (12) in position in door and install handle assembly (11) in the plate assembly. 8. Connect latch assembly (13) and latch ring assembly (17) to link (16) with pins, washers and cotter pins (14).9. Install bushing (15) in latch ring assembly (17). 10. Put latch (13) and latch ring (17) in the door and install the bolts to fasten assembly in position.11. Connect spring (10) to the latch ring (17). 12. Install handle and cover (18) in place on door and use the four bolts to fasten them in position.
