1. Fasten a hoist, and remove the hood over the engine. The weight of the hood 24 kg (53 lb).2. Remove fan guards (1) from the radiator guard. 3. Loosen bolts (3), and move the bracket so the V-belts become loose. Remove V-belts (2) over the fan, one blade at a time. The following steps are for the installation of the V-belts. Any time a replacement of a V-belt is made a replacement of both V-belts must be made so the tension of the two V-belts will be the same.4. Install the V-belts over the fan and on the pulleys. Position the bracket, and install the bolts (3). 5. Make an adjustment on bracket so a 110 N (25 lb) force against each belt between the pulleys, as shown in the illustration, will cause 14 to 21 mm (.55 to .83 in) movement of each belt.6. Install fan guards (1).7. Fasten a hoist, and install the hood over the engine.
