Remove the hydraulic oil cooler.
Remove the refrigerant condenser.
Remove the radiator cover.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Personal injury or death may result from failure to adhere to the following procedures.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.

Remove bolts (1) and bracket assembly (2).

Remove bolts (4) and sheet assembly (3).

Loosen clamps (5). Disconnect and reposition tube (6).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (7). The weight of aftercooler (7) is approximately 42 kg (93 lb).

Remove bolts (8), washers (9), and mount (10). Lower aftercooler (7) to the bottom of the radiator compartment.

Reposition the suitable lifting device and remove aftercooler (7).Installation Procedure
Install aftercooler (7) in the reverse order of removal.
