Hydraulic oil, under pressure higher than 27500 kPa (4000 psi) can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine and pump have been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if pressure is not released before any work is done on the hydraulic system. To release any pressure, move the hydraulic control levers into all positions after the engine is OFF.When possible, the bucket must always be flat on the ground before service work is started. When the bucket is raised for tests or adjustments, be sure that the lift arms have correct support and the bucket is in the FULL DUMP position.Always move the machine to a location away from the travel of other machines. Be sure that other personnel are not near the machine when the engine is running and tests or adjustments are being made.
The hydraulic system controls the operation of the bucket and attachments (ripper and/or multipurpose bucket). There are two separate oil systems in the hydraulic system, the pilot oil system and the main oil system. The main oil system is controlled by the pilot oil system.The hydraulic system contains the following components:
hydraulic pumps (13) and (14)
hydraulic tank and filters (16)

lift and tilt control valve (5)

diverter valve (15) and control lever (8) The hydraulic system is a series circuit that is not completely continuous. There are two pumps in the system. Main hydraulic pump (13) provides high pressure for the main oil system. Pilot hydraulic pump (14) provides low pressure for the pilot oil system.The pilot relief valve maintains the pilot pressure at 2620 kPa (380.0 psi). The oil from pilot pump (14) flows to lift and tilt pilot valve (2). The oil does not flow through the pilot valve when the control levers are in the HOLD position. When a control lever is moved, a valve stem in the pilot valve is moved. This allows oil to flow to lift and tilt control valve (5). The pilot oil pressure moves a valve spool in the lift and tilt control valve. Movement of the valve spool opens a passage, creating a flow of oil from the main hydraulic pump to either the lift cylinders or tilt cylinders in order to operate the bucket.When the machine is equipped with attachment pilot valve (1), oil
