65 Tractors ( 7YC1-300)The above Challenger 65 Tractors may have: (1) a 5-amp fuse in-line on the red wire to Pin 6 of the in-line harness connector at the radio, and (2), a 1-amp fuse in-line on the pink wire to Pin 7 of this same connector.
When troubleshooting the AM/FM/cassette, first check these two fuses between the eight-pin connector and the radio. Both of these circuits are also protected elsewhere on the tractor by larger fuses or circuit breakers. A fault in the radio will usually blow either the 5-amp or 1-amp fuse first. If these fuses are blown, the radio may also need to be repaired. Both of these fuses can be replaced with 10 amp fuses.
