1. Remove tool box (1) from the left side of the seat. 2. Disconnect air conditioning compressor wire (2) from the roll-over protective structure. 3. Disconnect wires (3) and (4) from the dash assembly. 4. Remove bolts (5) that hold the front of the roll-over protective structure to the platform group. 5. Remove bolts (6) that hold the inside rear of the roll-over protective structure to the platform group. 6. Turn cocks (8) to the "CLOSED" position. Disconnect heater hoses (7) from the engine. Drain the coolant from the heating system. 7. Loosen clamps (10). Disconnect heater hoses (7) from the air conditioning and heating unit.8. Disconnect clamp (11) from the top of the roll-over protective structure.9. Disconnect drain line (9) from the air conditioning and heating unit. 10. Remove clamps (12) from the back of the roll-over protective structure. Pull drain line (9) and heater hoses (7) clear of the roll-over protective structure.
Always wear goggles when the air conditioning system is opened. This system is charged with Freon-12 (CCL2 F2- Dichlorodifluoromethane) which is not toxic or flammable. There is however a reason for caution. When Freon-12 makes contact with a flame, lethal phosgene gas is made. INHALING FREON THROUGH A LIGHTED CIGARETTE CAN CAUSE VIOLENT ILLNESS. This system is under high pressure at all times, engine running or not. HEAT MUST NEVER BE APPLIED TO A CHARGED SYSTEM.
11. Release the Freon-12 from the system. See AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING, PURGING THE SYSTEM, Form No. SENR7454. 12. Disconnect air conditioning lines (13) from the air conditioning and heating unit. Disconnect clamp (15) from the top of the roll-over protective structure.13. Disconnect drain line (14) from the air conditioning and heating unit. 14. Remove clamps (16) from the back of the roll-over protective structure. Pull drain line (14) and air conditioning hoses (13) clear of the roll-over protective structure. 15. Remove handrails (17) from each side of the roll-over protective structure. 16. Fasten a hoist to the roll-over protective structure. Remove bolts (18) and spacers that hold the rear of the roll-over protective structure to the platform group. 17. Remove roll-over protective structure (19) from the platform group. The weight of the roll-over protective structure is 1525 lb. (686 kg). 1. Make sure the surface of the roll-over protective structure base is clean, dry and free of all foreign material. Put 5H2471 Cement on the surface of the (ROPS) mount group that make contact with the seals on the roll-over protective structure. 2. Fasten a hoist to the roll-over protective structure. Put roll-over protective structure (1) in position on the platform group. Install the bolts that hold it.3. Install the hand rails on the roll-over protective structure and platform group. 4. Connect air conditioning hoses (2) to the air conditioning and heating unit. Connect clamp (3) to the top of the roll-over protective
