The rotating, half wave, rectifier diode modules have been improved for the above listed Generator Set engines. In order to allow better performance in extreme environments, improved reliability includes the following improvements:

StructuralThe new rectifier diode replaces the former 110-4422 Rectifier and the former 110-4424 Rectifier .Serviceability for the rectifier diode and the external varistor has been raised to the heat sink assembly level. Servicing at the assembly level will ensure the following actions:
Proper application and curing of the thermal transfer paste
Decreasing service time with interconnecting wiring
Minimizing wiring errors with interconnecting wiring
Maximizing protection of the rectifier diode with installation of a fresh, external varistorRefer to Table 1 for a convenient cross-reference from former assemblies to new assemblies.
