Solution
Replace the 344-7390 Pressure Sensor Gp with the same part number.The sensor is used in multiple systems on the machine. Additional information is required to help determine the root cause of the failure. When you receive a "Send-It-Back" (SIB) request for the sensor, return the entire sensor and attached connector to Caterpillar. Attach a photo to the"Send-It-Back" request that identifies how the sensor is mounted and utilized and document any diagnostic codes that led to the replacement of the sensor in the service claim. For example boom-up sensor or stick-in sensor etc. Many of the returned components were received with physical damage. It is important to take care when removing and replacing the sensors during the repair. It is difficult to determine root cause if the sensor is damaged during removal. Avoid applying excessive stress to the sensors during removal. Caterpillar also recommends that the dealers instruct customers to take precautions when pressure washing the machine. Do not direct the high-pressure water stream directly at the face of the sensor and avoid stepping directly on the sensor since this may damage the sensor.
