(1) Use this part, after failure onlyThe parts listed in Table 1 are adaptable to machines within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all machines after the listed serial numbers.Use the following rework procedure to install the new 443-8156 Tube As.Rework Procedure
Note: Permit only one person on the machine. Either keep others away from the machine, or keep other personnel in the sight of the operator.
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from any machines that are working and any personnel.
Move the transmission control to the PARK position.
Activate the parking brake.
Place blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Stop the engine and allow the engine to cool.
Turn battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

(A) Existing precleaner
(B) Existing hose that connects into the venturi tube assembly
(C) Existing venturi tube assembly
Disassemble the parts shown in Illustration 1 from the existing venturi tube assembly (C). Inspect those parts for heat distortion. Retain the reusable parts for reassembly and replace any distorted parts.

Loosen clamp (D) and remove the exhaust pipe from venturi tube assembly (C).
Remove two piece clamp (H) by removing one bolt (F) and one hard washer (G). Retain the two piece clamp (H) and hardware for reassembly.
Loosen clamp (E) and remove existing venturi tube assembly (C) from diesel particulate filter group (J).
Reassemble the machine using the new 443-8156 Tube As and the retained hardware.
