Install a 8F-6419 Bolt (55) in the end of the shaft assembly, as shown.
Heat housing (37) evenly to a temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). Use a vise to hold the housing, as shown. Use protective gloves and install shaft assembly (45) into the housing. Use bolt (55) to guide the shaft assembly through the housing. Hold cylinder block (40) in place on the shaft assembly. Allow the housing to cool before continuing the assembly procedure.

Install shaft seal (54), shim (53), and retaining ring (52) in housing (37) .

Install O-ring seal (46) on the housing.

Install two dowel pins (41) in housing (37). Position gasket (42) on the two dowels and the housing.

Install adjustment screw (39) in housing (37) to the original depth and tighten nut (38) .

Install the O-ring seal on both plugs (35). Install screws (29), pin (33), and shuttle (31). Install screws (32) and plugs (35) in end cover (20) .
Install the O-ring seal on plug (34). Install screw (29), shuttle (31), and screw (32). Install plug (34) in end cover (20) .
Install the O-ring seal on plug (30). Install spool (26), spring (28), and plug (30) in end cover (20) .

Install the O-ring seal on plug (25). Align the hole in the stroking piston with the slot in the end cover. Install stroking piston (24) and plug (25) in end cover (20) .

Install lens pin (22) in the stroking piston. Install control lens (23) on the lens pin.

Install cover (20) on the housing and install eight bolts (21) .

Assemble flushing valve (1) by using the following procedure:
Install O-ring seal (18) on lock screw (19) .
Install spool assembly (15), disc (16), pressure spring (17), and lock screw (19) in valve body (14) .
Install O-ring seal (4) on lock screw (3) .
Install the disc, pressure spring (5), and lock screw (3) in the valve body.
Install orifice (11) in relief poppet (10) and install retaining ring (12) .
Install O-ring seal (8) on lock screw (6) .
Install relief poppet (10), pressure spring (9), disc (7), and lock screw (6) in valve body (14) .
Position flushing valve (1) on the rear cover plate and install five bolts (2) .End By: Install the piston motor (drum propel). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Motor (Drum Propel) - Install".
