The printed instructions included in the 518-0290 Hydraulic Coupler Kit may contain wrong information. The wrong information can lead to an interference between a new hose assembly and the HVAC water valve.Solution
Special Instruction, M0075950 has been updated on Service Information System (SIS) to correct the issue. Discard the hard copy instructions from the kit if the instructions are dated earlier than 02 February 2017. Print a fresh copy of the instructions from SIS dated 02 February 2017or later before beginning the work until such time that the physical kits in inventory can be reworked with updated instructions.The original instructions contained several small clerical and callout errors that have all been corrected now. The most significant error, however was discovered shortly after production began. The error involves the routing of the charge line to the new hydraulic coupler control valve, as outlined below.
The improved routing will eliminate the potential for the new hose to interfere with the HVAC water valve, which may not be noticed until the cab is subsequently opened. The correct routing requires a 60 degree angle at the valve & the charge line gets routed under the existing implement pump suction line. Refer to the following illustrations for the correct assembly and routing of hose (D).
