1. Disconnect ground wire (3) and gauge wire (2) from air cleaner housing.2. Remove bolts (1) from bracket of air cleaner housing. Remove air cleaner housing and bracket as a unit.3. Close the valves for fuel supply and return on bottom of fuel tank.4. Disconnect fuel supply line from fuel filter.5. Disconnect the two water hoses for the heater.6. Disconnect gauge line for water temperature.7. Remove the clips from oil pan for the starter wires.8. Remove the bolt from each of the front supports.9. Remove the fan guards. 10. Disconnect fuel return line (4) and gauge line (5) from fuel pump housing.11. Disconnect wires from alternator and oil pressure switch.12. Disconnect governor control cable (6) and bracket (7) from the fuel pump housing. 13. Disconnect wires (9) from the starter.14. Remove the two frame rods.15. Put a block between the rear of each piston pump and frame as a support. 16. Fasten a hoist and remove bolts (8) from flywheel housing. Remove the engine. Weight of engine is 2400 lb. (1089 kg).Install Engine
1. Fasten a hoist and put engine in position in the machine. Turn the engine to get the pump drive in alignment with the pump drive ring on flywheel. 2. Install bolts (1) in flywheel housing and in the front support. 3. Install the two frame rods (2).
The frame rods must be tight to hold the rear frame in place.
4. Connect wires to the alternator and engine oil pressure switch.5. Install bracket and connect control cable to governor.6. Connect fuel return line and gauge line to fuel pump housing. 7. Connect wires to starter (4) and install clips that hold wires to oil pan.8. Install fan guards (3). 9. Connect gauge line (6) for water temperature.10. Connect hoses (5) and (7) for heater.11. Connect fuel supply line (8) to fuel filter.12. Install air filter housing and bracket.13. Connect gauge wire and ground wire to air cleaner housing.14. Open fuel valves on fuel tank.end by: a) install radiator and hydraulic oil cooler.
