Information:

The adjuster cylinder for the track is under high hydraulic pressure. Do not visually inspect the relief valve to see if grease is released when it is open. Check the adjuster cylinder to see that it moves to the rear into the front pilot of the recoil spring. Use the warning anytime the tracks are loosened or tightened.
1. Loosen the track as follows: a) Turn relief valve (1) one turn counterclockwise to permit grease to be released from the vent hole below the rlief valve. If the track does not loosen, go to step b.b) Turn fill valve (2) one turn counterclockwise to permit grease to be released from the vent hole below the fill valve. If the track still does not loosen, start the machine and move it forward and backward. If grease is still not released to do step c.c) Put a 3" diameter by 2.75" long (76.2 mm diameter by 69.8 mm long) slug in position on the sprocket teeth. The slug must be in a position where it will make contact with the track bushing when the sprocket is turned in reverse. Move the machine to the rear. This will put tension on the track and move the front idler and track adjuster to the rear against the force of the recoil spring. This will push grease out of the vent holes. 2. Remove guard assemblies (3), (4), (5) and (6) from the track roller frame.3. Remove the front track carrier roller as follows: a) Put a wood block on the track roller frame as shown. Install tool (A). Make sure the end of the hydraulic jack is in contact with the flat part of the track grouser shoe as shown. Lift the track with tool (A) until it is off of the track carrier roller. b) Remove four bolts (7) that hold the track carrier roller to the roller frame. c) Move the front track carrier roller (8) over to the outside of the track roller frame as shown and fasten a hoist to it. Remove the carrier roller. The weight of the carrier roller and bracket is 85 lb. (39 kg.). 4. Remove the rear track carrier roller as follows:a) Put tool (A) in position on the track roller frame as shown. Make sure the end of the hydraulic jack is in contact with the flat part of the track grouser as shown. Lift the track with tool (A) until it is off of the track carrier roller.b) Remove the four bolts that hold the rear track carrier roller to the track roller frame. c) Move track carrier roller (9) over to the outside of the track roller frame as shown and fasten a hoist to it. Remove the carrier roller. The weight of the carrier roller and bracket is 85 lb. (39 kg). 5. If the track carrier roller (front or rear) is to be disassembled, loosen two bolts (10) and remove the track carrier roller from the bracket.Install Track Carrier
