START BY:a) remove support and seat group
Earlier Models Only Steps 1 and 2 are for earlier model machines only.1. Disconnect parking brake linkage rod from the parking brake. Remove three springs (2) and two pins (3).2. Remove the four bolts and lockwashers which fasten parking brake linkage (1) to each brake actuating mechanism housing and remove the parking brake linkage.
Later Model Shown3. Disconnect tube assemblies (4), (5) and (6) from both brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanisms.4. Disconnect tube assemblies (5) and (6) from steering clutch hydraulic control valve (7).5. Remove tube assemblies (4), (5) and (6) as a unit. 6. Remove two bolts (8) and the bolt that holds clip (10) in place. Remove tube assembly (9).7. Remove gasket and spout (11). Remove two oil lines (12).8. Remove nut (13) and the two clips that hold the two fuel lines in position.9. Remove the cotter and pin (15) to disconnect rod (14) from the brake hydraulic controls and actuating mechanism. 10. Disconnect two fuel lines (16). Remove clip (17). Remove the small fuel line from the machine. The large fuel line will be removed with the brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanism. 11. Remove gasket and cover (18).
Later Models Only Steps 12 and 13 are for later model machines only.12. Remove bolts and cover (19). Install bolt (20) in the hole in the housing. Bolt (20) must have 3/8"-16 NC threads and be two inches long. 13. Tighten bolt (20) until link (21) is loose in lever (22).14. Remove the cotter pin, pin (23) and washer (24) to disconnect link (21) from lever (22). Earlier models do not have washer (24). 15. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanism and remove the bolts that hold it in place.16. Hold link (21) up against the housing and remove brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanism (25). The weight is approximately 138 lb. (63 kg).Install Brake Hydraulic Controls And Actuating Mechanisms
1. Put 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material on the contact surfaces of the steering clutch housing and the brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanism housing. 2. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanism. Make sure fuel line (2) is in position next to the frame.3. Hold link (3) up against the housing. Install brake hydraulic control and actuating mechanism (1). Tighten the bolts that hold it in place to a torque of 40 5 lb.ft. (55 7 N m). Remove tool (A). 4. Put link (3) in position in lever (4). Install pin (6), washer (7) and cotter pin (5). Earlier machines do not have washer (7).
Later Models Only Step 5 is for later models only.5. Remove the bolt from the end of the housing. Install O-ring seal (8) and cover (9). 6. Install gasket (10) and cover (11). 7. Put fuel line (12) in position. Connect fuel lines (12) and (13) to the two fuel lines that go to the engine.8. Install clip (14)
