If motor has already been replaced prior, inspect the 8-digit serial number plate on the motor. If the motor serial number prefix starts with a 3, the motor needs to be removed and replaced. See Image 1 for serial number plate with 3 prefix. If the motor has a serial number prefix that starts with 4, the motor does not need to be replaced.
For motors with a serial number prefix starting with 3, refer to the Service Manual as necessary. See the Disassembly and Assembly CP54B, CS54B and CS64B Vibratory Soil Compactors Machine Systems Media Number -UENR0142 "Piston Motor (Axle Propel) - Remove and Install"
Transfer existing hardware from existing motor to new motor. Replace o-rings as required.
Perform the following calibration per Testing and Adjusting
CP54B, CS54B and CS64B Vibratory Soil Compactors Propel System Media Number -UENR1806-"Pump Synchronization - Test and Adjust"

This is a one hour job to inspect the motor. When required, an additional 4 hours of labor will be allowed to replace motors that have a 3 motor serial number prefix.
