Bucket Control (1) Tilt cylinders (two) (2) Lever (3) Bucket (4) Lift cylinders (two) (5) Lift arm assembly (6) LinkThe bucket control provides a way to control the operation of bucket (3) .The group is made up of two lift cylinders (4), two tilt cylinders (1), lift arm assembly (5), lever (2), and link (6) .The placement of link (6) in the lift arm assembly is known as Z-bar linkage. The "Z" is formed by the tilt cylinder, the lever, and the link.Tilt cylinders (1), lift cylinders (4), and lift arm assembly (5) are fastened to the loader frame by pins. When pressure oil is sent to the head end of lift cylinders (4), lift arm assembly (5) is raised. When pressure oil flows to the rod end of lift cylinders, the lift arm assembly is lowered. The bucket tilts back when pressure oil is sent to the head end of tilt cylinders (1). The bucket dumps when pressure oil flows to the rod end of the tilt cylinders.Bucket Positioner Mechanism (Tilt Kickout)

Bucket Positioner (1) Tilt cylinders (2) Electric switch (3) Rod (4) Magnet assemblyThe bucket positioner mechanism automatically moves the tilt control valve spool and the lever from the TILT BACK detent position to the HOLD position, when the bucket gets to the desired digging angle. The rod moves farther out of the tilt cylinders in order to move the bucket from DUMP to TILT BACK. When rod (3) moves out of tilt cylinders (1), magnet assembly (4) on the tilt lever moves toward bucket positioner switch (2). Switch (2) on tilt cylinder (1) is a solid state switch. In one direction, the magnet closes the switch in order to make a ground for the solenoid circuit. In the opposite direction, the magnet opens the switch in order to open the circuit.(S/N: 86G3000-3187)

Control Levers and Linkage in HOLD (5) Bucket positioner solenoid (6) Tilt control lever (7) Spring (8) TILT BACK detent (9) Cam with TILT BACK detentAs the tilt cylinders move the bucket from DUMP toward TILT BACK, magnet (4) moves almost past switch (2) and the magnet closes the circuit for bucket positioner solenoid (5) .The solenoid pulls the roller away from detent (8) of cam (9). The spring in the pilot valve moves the valve stem and the tilt control lever to the HOLD position. With the tilt control lever in the HOLD position, the movement of the tilt cylinder rod stops at the correct digging angle. Bucket positioner solenoid (5) remains activated and there is no detent for the TILT BACK position of the tilt control lever. The lever must be held in any position except the HOLD position. When rod (3) moves into the tilt cylinder, magnet assembly (4) moves past switch (2). The magnet opens the circuit to solenoid (5) when the magnet passes switch (2) and the solenoid is not activated. When tilt control lever (6) is moved to the TILT BACK position, spring (7) for the tilt control moves the
