start by:a) remove axle housing and axle (right side) 1. Remove the bolts, nuts (2), locks and retainers that hold the final drive gear to the hub. Install a block to hold the gear in position.2. Slide the hub off the left axle through final drive gear (1).3. Use a hydraulic jack to remove the hub. The weight is 43 kg (95 lb.).4. Put the final drive gear on the hydraulic jack and remove the gear. The weight is 45 kg (100 lb.). 5. Remove the bearing cones from the hub with tooling (A) as shown.Install Final Drive Gear And Hub
1. Heat the bearing cones for the hub to a maximum temperature of 135° C (275° F). Install the bearing cones on the hub. 2. Use a hydraulic jack as shown to install final drive gear (1) in the housing. Put the gear in position and hold it with a wooden block. 3. Put the hub assembly into the housing. Install the hub assembly through the gear on to the left axle.4. Install the bolts, locks and retainers that hold the final drive gear to the hub.end by:a) install axle housing and axle (right side)
