Remove the water pump.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove plug (1) from bearing housing (3). Remove plugs (5) from housing (5). Remove the O-ring seals from the plugs.
Remove water pump filter (2) from bearing housing (3).

Remove bolts (6) and washers (7). Remove bearing housing (3) from housing (4). Remove O-ring seal (8) from bearing housing (3).

Install Tooling (B) under impeller (9). Use a suitable press and Tooling (A) to remove the impeller.Note: Do not allow bearing housing (3) to fall to the floor when the impeller is removed from the pump shaft.

Remove socket head bolts (10). Remove retainer (11) and pump shaft (12) from bearing housing (3).Note: Spring (14) and ceramic seal (13) will be removed from the shaft assembly when the pump shaft is removed from the bearing housing.

Install pump shaft (12) in Tooling (C). Loosen set screws (15). Use Tooling (D) to remove bearing locknut (16) from the pump shaft.Note: The splined end of the pump shaft is marked in order to indicate either RH threads or LH threads on the pump shaft.

Use Tooling (E) to remove bearing assembly (17) from pump shaft (12).

Remove ceramic seal (18) and lip seal (19) from bearing housing (3).
