Install O-ring seal (13) on housing (5). Apply glycerin to the O-ring seal.

Use Tooling (A) and a steel plate in order to install housing (5) into engine oil pan (14). Use a block of wood between the hydraulic puller and the bulkhead of the engine oil pan.

Install a new O-ring seal on tube assembly (4). Apply glycerin to the O-ring seal.
Use Tooling (A) in order to install tube assembly (4) into housing (5).
Install a new O-ring seal (15) on tube assembly (4). Apply glycerin to the O-ring seal.

Install suction bell (2) onto tube assembly (4).
Do not attempt to close the gap between the suction bell and the bulkhead by tightening the bolts. Breakage to the aluminum parts can occur.
If necessary, install spacers (16) in order to fill the gap between the mounting brackets on the suction bell and the bulkhead. If necessary, move the suction bell away from tube assembly (4). Move the suction bell enough in order to obtain clearance for spacers (16). Do not move the suction bell more than this amount.

Install bolts (17) and the washers.
Install clamp (3).

Install screen (1) into the housing. Make sure that the screen is engaged with the slots in the housing. Later Oil Pan

Install the O-ring seal on tube assembly (12). Install tube assembly (12) and clamp (11).

Install suction bell (10).

If tee (7) was removed, install tee (7) with bolts (9). Install the suction screen into the tube assembly. Install cover (8) and install bolts (6). End By:
Install the engine oil pan.
