A new version of firmware for the UPS 300 series has been released. The current UPS 300 series requires periodic firmware upgrades to the existing system. These upgrades are essential in maintaining the performance requirements of the machine. The firmware may also incorporate an operational enhancement.The service technician will need to obtain an electronic copy of the update for the firmware from the SIS web site prior to performing the actual upgrade. The service technician will also be required to ensure that the UPS View 2.5 software is installed in the laptop computer that will be used to perform the upgrade. UPS View 2.5 is available as an upgrade on SIS Web, or the complete software package can be purchased. The UPS 3.13 and 3.14 firmware updates are only able to be executed by using the UPS View 2.5 version software.The update for firmware should be performed at the time of commissioning procedure or for machines currently in operation at the next scheduled interval. The firmware version of a UPS can be determined by connecting the UPS to your laptop computer while utilizing the UPS View 2.5 software and performing a CTRL N. function.

Note: There are two files which only apply to a purchased UPS. There are the ZZA FPGA firmware file and the PCC FPGA firmware files. If your UPS does not have these particular options, then there is no requirement in order to update these firmware files.In order to perform the UPS Firmware 3.13 or 3.14 update, your UPS must currently be operating at firmware version 2.4 or newer. If your UPS does not have firmware version 2.4 or newer, you must upgrade your existing UPS firmware to Revision 2.45 before proceeding.
