(1) Remove the plug from the front idler assembly and apply air pressure to port (1) . The front idler assembly should sustain 245 to 265 kPa (36 to 38 psi) air pressure for a minimum of 30 seconds. Add 1.300 0.065 L (0.3434 0.0172 US gal) of SAE 30CF oil and replace plug (1). (2) At assembly, O-rings of floating seal (2) and all surfaces in contact with the floating seal must be clean and dry. Apply a small amount of oil on the contacting surfaces of the metal seals before installation. (3) Install the pin. (4) Put a thin coat of oil on the seal. (5) Install the dowel with the threads near the plug. (6) Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to threads of plugs. (7) Install the shaft (7). Position the "R" that is stamped on the end face backward into the angular bearing.
