This Program must be administered assoon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI10083" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI10083" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. Mail Code AU-180 is not in order sinceit was added at revision SEBE7682-01 in October 2001. This Revised Service Letter replacesthe July 16, 2001 (Revised December 2001) Service Letter. Changes havebeen made to the Parts Needed.PROBLEM
New software needs to be flashed in certain C-10,C-12, C-15 and C-16 Industrial Engines and in certain CPT372, SBF214 andSUF557 Packaged Product powered by C-10 and C-12 engines. Current productionsoftware has faults related to high idle and TEL setting, sensor calibrations,correctness of histogram data, hour meter, PTO mode, remote shutdown, warningand diagnostic lamp functionality, percent load calculation, torque limits,auxiliary temperature and pressure on J1939, fuel pressure, coolant level,false speed timing faults and ramping up/down to intermediate engine speed.In addition, wiring at J1/P1 (ECM) and J61/P61 (customer connector) requiremodification and verification. The remote shutdown and intermediate enginespeed ramp-down will not function as intended and may cause safety hazards,which could result in injury or death.AFFECTED PRODUCT
