Removal Procedure
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the filler cap slowly in order to relieve pressure.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
To prevent dirt and contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected.This action also lessens the chance of oil spills.
Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes.
Raise the transmission guard. The steering signal and pressure reducing valve is located at the right rear of the tractor.

Remove hose (1). Remove the O-ring seal. Remove fitting (2). Remove the O-ring seal.
Remove hose (3). Remove the O-ring seal. Remove hose (4). Remove the O-ring seal. Remove hose (5). Remove the O-ring seal.
Remove two bolts (6) and the washers. Remove steering signal and pressure reducing valve (7) .Installation Procedure

Inspect all parts and clean all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Place steering signal and pressure reducing valve (7) into position. Install two bolts (6) and the washers.
Install the O-ring seal for hose (3). Install hose (3). Install the O-ring seal for hose (4). Install hose (4). Install the O-ring seal for hose (5). Install hose (5) .
Install the O-ring seal to fitting (2). Install fitting (2). Install the O-ring seal to hose (1). Install hose (1) .
Lower the transmission guard.
