C     1U-9200     Lever Puller Hoist     1    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A) . Position torque converter (19) and install bolt (12A) and bolts (20) onto transmission (21) to a torque of 100 20 N m (73 14 lb ft).

Install bolt (18) to a torque of 285 15 N m (210 11 lb ft). Install plug (17) to a torque of 285 15 N m (210 11 lb ft).
If equipped, install the rear PTO shaft.

Note: Bolt (12A) was installed earlier.
Position pump (12) and install bolts (11) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft). Position housing (15) and install bolts (16) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft). Install tube assemblies (13) and (14) .

Position oil pan (10) and install bolts (9) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).

Install screen (8) and magnetic filter (7) .

Position cover (6) and install bolts (5) to a torque of 28 7 N m (20 5 lb ft).

Connect harness assemblies (4) .

Connect harness assemblies (2) and (3) .

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to remove the transmission and torque converter (1) from Tooling (B) . The weight of transmission and torque converter (1) is approximately 544 kg (1200 lb).End By:
If necessary, install the control manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Manifold - Install".
If necessary, install the retarder hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Retarder Hydraulic Control Valve - Remove and Install".
