Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install the O-ring seal on fuel bypass valve (5). Install fuel bypass valve (5) in fuel filter base assembly (2). Tighten fuel bypass valve (5) to a torque of 35 3 N m (26 2 lb ft).
Install the O-ring seal on fuel check valve (1). Install fuel check valve (1) in fuel filter base assembly (2). Tighten fuel check valve (1) to a torque of 35 3 N m (26 2 lb ft).
Install the O-ring seals on fittings (4) and (3). Install the fittings in fuel filter base assembly (2).
If necessary, install hollow stud (6) to fuel filter base assembly (2). Tighten hollow stud (6) to a torque of 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).Note: Apply Tooling (A) to the first 7.6 0.8 mm (0.30 0.03 inch) of threads at the base end of the taperlock stud.End By:
Install the fuel filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Filter Base - Install".
Install the fuel pressure sensor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Pressure Sensor - Remove and Install".
Install the fuel temperature sensor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Temperature Sensor - Remove and Install".
