During push loading operations, tire damage has occurred on some 621E and 627E Scrapers. This problem has been attributed to the blade, on the machine used in the push loading operation, coming in contact with the tires.
To prevent possible scraper tire damage, a push block extension can be installed. This modification will reposition the push block farther back and provide more clearance between the back side of the push block and the tires.
The Special Instruction gives the necessary information needed to modify the push block by adding additional material and extending the push block. This modification will make the area stronger and extend the service life of the machine.
