Use Tooling (A) to install gland (17).
Install ring (24). Apply Tooling (G) onto ring (24).

Apply Tooling (C) onto O-ring seal (16). Install O-ring seal (16).

Use a suitable hammer to install end (14).

Install retainers (15).

Install plate (13). Apply Tooling (E) onto bolt (12). Install bolt (12).Note: End (14) must not turn while bolt (12) is tightened.

Install ball (11).

Use a suitable lifting device to install piston (9). The weight of piston (9) is approximately 73 kg (160 lb).

Install bolts (10). Attach Tooling (B). Install ring (8).

Partially install piston rod (7) into housing (6). Apply Tooling (G) onto ring (8). Install piston rod (7) into housing (6).

Install the remaining bolts (10). Use Tooling (F) to tighten bolts (10).

Fill housing (6) with 73.4 L (19.4 US gal) of Tooling (G).

Apply Tooling (G) onto ring (4) and O-ring seal (5). Install O-ring seal (5) and ring (4).

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to install head (2). The weight of head (2) is approximately 140 kg (310 lb).
Install bolts (3).

In order to prevent possible personal injury, use a suitable fixture to support the weight of the suspension cylinder. Do not attempt to stand the suspension cylinder on end without the use of a suitable support. Failure to use a suitable support fixture could result in injury or death to personnel in this area.
Remove front suspension cylinder (1) from the suitable fixture. The weight of front suspension cylinder (1) is approximately 3450 kg (7600 lb).End By:
