10. Remove clamp (22). Remove tube (21) from three spool valve (20). Install plug, tool (E), on the valve. 11. Disconnect tube (23) from tube (24). Install plug, tooling (F), on tube (23). 12. Put identification on three hoses (25), (26) and (27). Remove hose (26) and (27), and install plugs, tools (G). Remove hose (25) from fitting (28). Install plugs, tooling (H), on the hose and fitting. 13. Put identification on hoses (30), (31), (32), (34) and (35). Remove hoses (31), (32) and (35). Install plugs, tooling (J), on tubes (33), (36) and (37). Remove hose (30) from manifold (29). Install plug, tooling (K), on the manifold. Remove hose (34) from the bottom of bottom dump bucket control valve. Install plug, tooling (L), on the hose. Remove the bottom dump bucket control valve. See REMOVE BOTTOM DUMP BUCKET CONTROL VALVE. 14. Remove hose (39) from swing motor (38). Install plug, tool (B), on the hose. 15. Remove hose (41) from the swing combiner relief valve. Install plug, tooling (M), on the hose. Remove hoses (40) and (42) from the swing combiner relief valve. Connect hoses (40) and (42) together with tooling (O).16. Remove the swing motor. See REMOVE SWING MOTOR in 235 EXCAVATOR VEHICLE SYSTEMS DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY. 17. Remove two clamps (44) which fasten tubes (43) and (45) to bracket (46). 18. Remove two clamps (48) and (49) from support (50). Fasten a hoist (not shown) to swing combiner and relief valve (47). Remove bolts (51) which fasten the support to the swing drive assembly and remove the valve. The weight of the swing combiner and relief valve and support is 95 lb. (43 kg).19. Remove the swing drive. See REMOVE SWING DRIVE in 235 EXCAVATOR VEHICLE SYSTEMS, DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY.
Hoses (31) and (34) must be connected together before the engine is started or damage to the hydraulic piston pump will be the result.
20. After the swing drive is removed, install hose (31) and connect to hose (34) with tooling (N). See Step 13.
Make sure the eight bolts which fasten the counterweight to the frame are tightened to the correct torque of 825 80 lb.ft. (1125 110 N m).
21. Put tooling (A) in position under the counterweight and frame as shown.
Keep the upper frame level at all times during the removal and installation of the undercarriage.
22. Put the stick in the vertical position. Remove the bolts which fasten the swing gear to the upper frame. The front of the upper frame can be lifted as the boom is lowered. The rear of the upper frame can be lifted with tooling (A). Make a separation of the carbody and undercarriage. 23. Fasten chains or cables to undercarriage (53). Pull the undercarriage clear of upper frame (52). 24. Put tooling (P) in position at locations (X) for more support after removal of the undercarriage. Put more cribbing (A) (shoring) under rear upper frame.Install Undercarriage
1. Inspect the condition of all O-ring seals and make replacements if necessary.
