April 30, 1996Problem
Certain OR8266 Remanufactured Camshaft Kits for use in 3412 Engines need to be removed from Parts Stock.
Action Required
Inspect the tag on all OR8266 Remanufactured Camshaft Kits in dealer Parts Stock.
If the tag has a date prior to January 1, 1996, the camshaft kit needs to be removed from Parts Stock.
The part number tag attached to the outside of the box. The date code is printed just below the part name and above the part number in the following format - DDMMYYXXX. (Example: A box marked with a date code of 010196068 would indicate a part manufactured on January 1, 1996 at plant number 068.)
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all OR8266 Remanufactured Camshaft Kits removed from Parts Stock.
Parts Disposition
U.S. and Canadian Dealers
Return all OR8266 Remanufactured Camshaft Kits that are removed from Parts Stock and a copy of the claim to:
