Attach Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device to hydraulic cylinder assembly (4). Position hydraulic cylinder assembly (4) into the shear housing.

Attach Tooling (B). Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to trunnion (12 ) in order to position trunnion (12) on Tooling (B). Remove Tooling (D). The weight of trunnion (12) for the VHS-60/4 is approximately 73 kg (160 lb). The weight of trunnion (12) for the VHS-70/4 is approximately 84 kg (185 lb).

Install bolts (11) .
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the remaining side.

Install hose assembly (10). Lower hydraulic cylinder assembly (4) into position.

Install hose assembly (9) and all mounting hardware.

Install cover assembly (8) .

Use the machines hydraulic system and a suitable lifting device on hydraulic cylinder assembly (4) to align hydraulic cylinder assembly (4) with the shear jaw.Note: Ensure that the shear jaw is in the fully closed position.

Attach a suitable lifting device to pin assembly (7). The weight of pin assembly (7) for the VHS-60/4 is approximately 77 kg (170 lb). The weight of pin assembly (7) for the VHS-70/4 is approximately 86 kg (190 lb).
