Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install for the correct procedure.Note: For new engines, the valve lash should be checked and reset after the first 500 hours and 1000 hours. The valve lash will then be checked at service intervals of 1000 hours. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust for the correct procedure. Ensure that a new 376-4761 Seal is installed after this procedure has been performed.
