When the former bearing is removed, use an air carbon arc torch to carefully cut through the entire surface of the bearing. Use several passes to make the cut complete. Make sure not to cut into the surface of the bore. The bearing will compress slightly and can be removed with a punch.
Install the new bearing with a press fit. Make sure the thrust groove is located to the inside of the boss as shown in the illustration.
