Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Attach a suitable lifting device to engine oil cooler cores (14). The weight of engine oil cooler cores (14) is approximately 90 kg (200 lb). Place the engine oil cooler cores in position on support assembly (12). Distance (X) from the end of engine oil cooler cores (14) to the centerline of the first bolt hole in support assembly (12) must be 436.0 1.0 mm (17.16 0.04 inch).
Install the gaskets and bonnets (9) on each end of engine oil cooler cores (14).
Install supports (11) in order to hold the engine oil cooler cores in place. Note: Newer engines have an oil temperature regulator housing (13) with a longer outlet.
Install oil temperature regulator housing (13) on supports (11).
Install flanges (3) and tubes (5) on each side of the oil temperature regulator housing.
Install manifold (6). Install other manifold (10).
Install elbow (7) on manifold (6).
Attach a suitable lifting device to engine oil cooler core (4). The weight of engine oil cooler core (4) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Install the engine oil cooler core on manifold (6) and on other manifold (10). Install the bolts that hold engine oil cooler core (4) in place.
Install the following components on each end of the engine oil cooler: bonnets (2), tubes (8) and elbows (1). End By:
Install the engine oil coolers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Coolers - Install".
