Engine News SEBD9901, 03 October 2013, "A New Oil Screen is Used on the High-Pressure Fuel Pump Adapter on C175 Engines". Disregard the previous article, refer to the article that follows.Description of Change: A new screen is used on the high-pressure fuel pump drive adapter. The screen filters return oil flow from the high-pressure fuel pump to the front gear train. The screen helps to prevent possible contamination of the engine front gear train from the high-pressure fuel pump gear train.Adaptable To: The new 459-6534 Screen As replaces the existing 440-4285 Screen As. The new screen assembly is adaptable back to first production of the serial numbers listed above. Refer to Table 2 for the effective serial numbers.
