Lay the mast on a suitable work area.
Remove the six hex screws (5) .
Insert center bolt (6) and remove the base plate for the mast (4) .

Remove the four screws (3) that secure the motor cover.
Remove the motor cover.

Check the wire connections to the motor.Expected Result:The wires for the motor are correct. The black wire from the mast connected to the black wire on the motor. The red wire from the mast connected to the red wire on the motor.Results:
Yes - The wires for the motor are correct. The black wire from the mast connected to the black wire on the motor. The red wire from the mast connected to the red wire on the motor.STOP
NO - The wires for the motor are not correct. The black wire from the mast is connected to the red wire on the motor. Proceed to Test Step 4.Test Step 4. REWIRE THE MOTOR
Mark the wires for the motor (1) and disconnect the wires for the motor at the in-line connections.
Reconnect the wires for the motor at the in-line connections. Use the opposite configuration.
Reinstall the motor cover and the base plate.
Apply machine power to the mast in order to ensure that the mast motor travel is correct.Expected Result:The motor travel is correct.Results:
YES - The motor travel is correct. Reassemble the Electric Mast and reinstall the mast onto the machine. Return the machine to normal operation.STOP
NO - The motor travel is not correct.Repair: Replace the motor. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS2402, "AccuGrade Electric Mast Repair Instructions" for additional information.STOP
