Information:

System Operation Description:The following information must be known and recorded for paralleling operations. The information must be obtained at various load points. The information must match the generator readings.
Verify breaker outputs voltage
Current
Cower
Power factor readingsThe following are what is expected:
Voltages are close to rated values
Readings from the EMCP and the CDVR match
No voltage exists on the output of the open breaker
Metering at various load points match the power analyzer readings
Metering at the output of breaker matches metering at input of breaker for paralleling
All power readings are positiveIf the expected data is not correct, then the following must be confirmed:
Confirm that the configuration is correct for the EMCP generator current transformers and the potential transformers
Ensure that settings in the EMCP and the CDVR match
Check for correct wiring.
If negative kW is seen, check for correct CT polarityA non-adjustable and non-programmable shutdown immediately occurs when the generator breaker is closed and there is a generator sensing fault. This shutdown occurs when a phase difference (non-zero) between phase A on the generator and phase A on the bus is detected. An immediate shutdown test also occurs for the other phases.Test Step 1. Test Dead Bus Arbitration Wiring
Use a digital multimeter to verify continuity or voltages between the following points. Note: The generator set must be off.
Pin 14 on 70-pin/LSLD-1 terminal
Pin 15 on 70-pin/LSLD-2 terminal
Pin 16 on 70-pin/LSLD-3 terminal
Pin 17 on 70-pin/LSLD-4 terminal
Pin 26 on 70-pin/PIO-REF terminal
Verify battery voltage on the cathode of the "Best Battery Positive Line" diode.
If multiple generator sets are wired together, then verify the continuity between the following points.
LSLD-1 terminals on all generator sets
LSLD-2 terminals on all generator sets
LSLD-3 terminals on all generator sets
LSLD-4 terminals on all generator sets
PIO-REF terminals on all generator sets
Cathodes of the "Best Battery Positive Line" diodes on all generator sets
For the lead generator set, check continuity from the cathode of the "Best Battery Positive Line" diode to the LSLD-1 terminal on the same generator set.
Check continuity from the LSLD-2 terminal on generator set from "N" to the LSLD-1 terminal on generator set "N" + 1. Expected Result:The continuity or voltage exists between the test points. Results:
OK - The appropriate continuity or voltage exists between all of the test points.STOP
Not OK - The appropriate continuity or voltage does not exist between all of the test points.Repair: Repair the wiring. Verify that the problem has been corrected. The generator set operates normally.STOP
