STARTER 5R9846 - Caterpillar

1. Remove two nuts (1), washers (2) and bolts (3) and disconnect radiator support (4) from hood support. 2. Remove four nuts (5), washers (6) and bolts (7) and remove hood and hood support (8). 3. Remove the two bolts (9) and washers (10) from the muffler mounting. 4. Loosen the two clamp bolts (11) and remove the muffler (12). 5. Remove three nuts (13), washers (14) and remove the exhaust pipe (15) from the exhaust manifold.Install Exhaust.
1. Position the exhaust pipe (15) on the exhaust manifold and install three washers (14) and nuts (13). 2. Slide the clamp onto the exhaust pipe, install the muffler (12) and secure with two washers (10) and bolts (9). 3. Position the clamps over the muffler to exhaust pipe joint and tighten two clamp bolts (11). 4. Install hood and hood support (8) and secure with four bolts (7), washers (6) and nuts (5). 5. Secure radiator support (4) to hood support with two bolts (3), washers (2) and nuts (1).
