Remove Aftercooler Housing (Industrial Engine)
START BY:a. remove fuel filter base1. Drain the coolant from the engine. 2. Remove the four nuts and washers that hold adapter (2) to the aftercooler housing.3. Remove the four bolts and cover (1). 4. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to the aftercooler housing. Remove 12 bolts (4), and remove aftercooler housing (3) from the cylinder head. The weight of the aftercooler housing is 34 kg (75 lb.).5. Remove the six gaskets from the cylinder head.6. Remove the O-ring seals from the water inlet and outlet tubes.Install Aftercooler Housing (Industrial Engine)
1. Install new O-ring seals on the water inlet and outlet pipes (2). Put a light coat of clean oil on the O-ring seals.2. Put the six gaskets in position on the cylinder head.3. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to aftercooler housing (1), and put the aftercooler housing in position on the water pipes and cylinder head.4. Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the bolts, and install the bolts that hold the aftercooler housing to the cylinder head. 5. Put new gaskets in position on both sides of aftercooler housing (1).6. Put cover (3) in position, and install the four bolts through cover (3), aftercooler housing (1) and adapter (4).7. Install the four washers and nuts that hold adapter (4) to the aftercooler housing.8. Fill the engine with coolant to the correct level. Move the elbow away from the aftercooler housing. 4. Remove five bolts (3) that hold air inlet pipe (4) to the aftercooler housing. Move the air inlet pipe away from the aftercooler housing. 5. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to aftercooler housing (5). Remove 12 bolts (6) that hold the aftercooler housing to the cylinder head, and remove the aftercooler housing and the gaskets. The weight of the aftercooler housing is 34 kg (75 lb.).Install Aftercooler Housing (Marine Engine)
1. Put the six gaskets in place on the cylinder head.2. Put a new O-ring seal in position on pipe (2). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.3. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to aftercooler housing (1).4. Put the aftercooler housing in position on the elbow and cylinder head.5. Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the bolts, and install the bolts that hold aftercooler housing (1) to the cylinder head. 6. Put the gasket and air inlet pipe (4) in position on the aftercooler, and install five bolts (3) that hold the air inlet pipe to the aftercooler housing. 7. Put the gasket and elbow (6) in position on the aftercooler housing, and install the four bolts that hold them in place.8. Install tube (5).9. Fill the engine with coolant to the correct level.
