The machines that are flashed with the 462-7950 Power Train Software Gp will display a false diagnostic code CID 681 - FMI 7 under certain conditions for parking brake solenoid. The symptoms of the false diagnostic code are listed below:
When both the key and the parking brake solenoid are turned ON, no diagnostic code pops up.
When both the engine and the parking brake solenoid are turned ON, the diagnostic code CID 681 - FMI 7 pops up after a debounce of 5 seconds or more.
When the parking brake switch is turned OFF, the diagnostic code CID 681 - FMI 7 disappears.
When the engine is turned OFF, the diagnostic code CID 681 - FMI 7 disappears.The fault diagnostic code is generated on the machines that are listed in Table 1.
