Remove the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove the elbow assembly that connects the water pump to the radiator. Remove the elbow assembly that connects the water pump to the engine oil cooler.
Remove cover bolts (3) . Carefully separate housing (9) from the cover.
Hold hex washer (1) . Remove hex socket head bolt (4) .
Remove bearing (5) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove gear (6) .
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining ring (7) .
Use Tooling (C) in order to remove impeller (11) .
Use a suitable press to remove inner bearing (5) and shaft assembly (8) .
Remove water seal (10) .
Remove oil seal (2) .
