1. Remove bolt (2) and the washer. Pull lever (1), the adapter and lever from the front drive housing. There is an O-ring seal that holds the adapter in the front drive housing. 2. Remove bolt (4) to remove lever (1) from adapter (3). 3. Use tool (A) to remove retaining ring (5) that holds lever (6) in adapter (3). Remove lever (6) from adapter (3). 4. Remove O-ring seal (7) from the adapter. 5. Remove lip-type seal (8) from the adapter.Install Manual Shutoff
1. Use tooling (A) to install the lip type seal in the adapter. The lip of the seal is toward the inside as shown. Put clean engine oil on the seal. 2. Install O-ring seal (1) on adapter (2).3. Install lever (3) in adapter (2). 4. Install retaining ring (4) in position with tool (B). 5. Put lever (3) in position, and install the bolt to hold lever (5).6. Install the levers and adapter in the front drive housing. Make sure lever (3) is under and in contact with the governor stop lever. 7. To make an adjustment to the shutoff levers, loosen the locknut and screw on the adapter. Pull lever (5) until the governor linkage makes contact with its stop. Hold lever (5) in this position. Turn the adjustment screw until it makes contact with lever (5); then turn it one more complete turn. Tighten the locknut.
