Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the fan guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Guard - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

Loosen bolt (6) and nut (1) .
Remove V-belts (2) .
Remove bolts (4) and carefully remove fan (7) from adapter (5) .
Remove bolts (3). Remove adapter (5) and fan (7) .

Remove four bolts (9) and bracket (8) .
Remove fan drive (10). The weight of fan drive (10) is 29 kg (64 lb).Installation Procedure

Install fan drive (10) in the original location. Install bracket (8) and four bolts (9) .

Install adapter (5) and fan (7). Install bolts (3) .
Carefully install fan (7) on adapter (5). Install bolts (4) .
Install V-belts (2). Install nut (1). Tighten bolt (6) .
Adjust the V-belt tension.Note: Check the fan belt tension. Use a Kent Moore Company BT-33-97 gauge. The correct tension for a new V-belt is 534 22 N (120 5 lb). The correct tension for a used V-belt is 400 44 N (90 10 lb). A used V-belt has been active over 30 minutes at rated speed.End By: Install the fan guard.
