Procedure
Check the part number (1) on the secondary fuel filter. If the part number is not 299-8229, no further action is required.
Check the date code (2) on the secondary fuel filter. If the date code is not UNUUNL, UAUMNL, MMNUNK or MENUNK, no further action is required.
If the part number is 299-8229 and the date code is UNUUNL, UAUMNL, MMNUNK or MENUNK, replace the secondary fuel filter. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System Secondary Filter - Replace".
Drain the fuel from the removed filter and seal the filter in a leakproof bag.
Pack the removed filter in suitable packaging and send the package to the following address:
