Pump Adjustment (NEUTRAL)
Make reference to the on the first page of Testing And Adjusting.
1. With the pump on the machine and the rear wheels blocked. Raise the mainframe until the front wheels are off the ground. Securely block up the mainframe.
Pressure Gauge Connections
(1) Pressure gauge. (2) Charge pressure port.2. Connect a 3450 kPa (500 psi) gauge (1) with a short section of hose to the charge pressure port (2) in the forward side of the main pump housing.
Electrical Displacement Control (EDC)
(3) Electrical connector. (4) Hex lock nut. (5) Neutral adjustment screw.3. Use a 14.3 mm (.563 in) wrench to loosen hex lock nut (4) on neutral adjustment screw (5).4. Disconnect electrical line (3) at the connector.5. Ensure that all controls are at the NEUTRAL position.
Maximum system pressure may occur when the engine is started and cause the machine to move. Set the parking brake. Ensure that personnel are not in a position to be injured.
6. Start the engine and run it at a low idle.7. Allow the engine to idle for several minutes to warm the system.8. Slowly increase engine speed to high idle.9. If the hydrostatic transmission operates, as indicated by wheel rotation, reduce engine speed to low idle. Using a 4.7 mm (.188 in) hex wrench, slowly turn the neutral adjustment screw clockwise and counterclockwise until the hydrostatic transmission does not operate.10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 until the transmission does not operate. Charge pressure, as indicated on the 3450 kPa (500 psi) gauge, should drop 140 kPa (20 psi) as the neutral adjustment screw moves the pump into stroke.11. Slowly turn the neutral adjustment screw clockwise until charge pressure begins to decrease. Note the position of the neutral adjustment screw.12. Slowly turn the neutral adjustment screw counterclockwise until the pressure increases, then begins to decrease again. Note the amount the screw has been turned from its position in step 11.13. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise half the turn noted in step 12.14. Hold the adjustment screw and securely tighten the hex locknut on the screw 19 to 24 N m (14 to 18 lb ft).15. Stop the engine and reconnect the electrical line.16. Lower the front wheels to the ground and remove the blocks from the rear wheels.17. Start the engine. Check that the pump remains in neutral. Increase engine speed to the maximum rpm. Check for forward and reverse operation of the machine. Charge pressure should remain at 1100 to 1235 kPa (160 to 180 psi) minimum during forward or reverse operation.18. Continue to cycle slowly from forward to reverse for 5 minutes.19. Stop the machine. Stop the engine.20. Remove the 3450 kPa (500 psi) pressure gauge. Install the cap or plug. Check the hydraulic oil level. Add oil if necessary.Electrical Displacement Control Coil Resistance Test Procedure
Make reference to on first page of Testing And Adjusting.
1. With engine off, place electrical disconnect switch in the OFF position.2. Remove electrical connection from EDC.
Measuring Resistance Of The Coil
(1) Electrical displacement control (EDC). (2) Multimeter.3. Connect one
