Braking Control System is control by the Transmission/Chassis ECM. The Braking Control System uses inputs and outputs to provide the operator information on the air pressure via the tractor's Caterpillar Monitoring System. The Brake Control System receives signals from the tractor's air pressure sensor and the scraper's air pressure sensor. The Brake Control System uses the sensor data to control the functions that are listed below:
Display the system air pressure on the gauge (air supply) of the quad gauge module.
Activate the action lamp and the action alarm of Caterpillar Monitoring System.
Control of the parking brake solenoidParking Brake Switch - The parking brake switch sends a signal to the Transmission/Chassis ECM. The signal activates the parking brake solenoid or the signal deactivates the parking brake solenoid.Parking Brake Pressure Switch, Service Brake Pressure Switch and Retarder Pressure Switch - The tractor's service brake pressure switch, the retarder pressure switch and the scraper's service brake pressure switch are inputs of the Transmission/Chassis ECM. The Transmission/Chassis ECM uses these inputs to control the throttle lock and control throttle shifting functions.Parking Brake Solenoids - The parking brake solenoids for the tractor and the scraper are used to engage the parking brakes or the parking brake solenoids for the tractor and the scraper are used to disengage the parking brakes.
