Information:

During the check procedure, do not make a reverse change in engine rpm. For example, during the steps to decrease rpm, do not decrease the rpm too much and then increase it to the desired setting. Similarly, during steps to increase rpm, do not increase rpm too much and then decrease it to the desired setting. Either of these will cause wrong check results.2. Move the governor control lever to decrease the engine rpm to 1800 rpm. At 1800 rpm, the signal pressure must be 825 70 kPa (120 10 psi). Move the governor control lever to decrease the engine rpm to 1750 rpm. The signal pressure at this rpm must be 1035 20 kPa (150 3 psi). Move the governor control lever to decrease the engine rpm to 1600 rpm. The signal pressure at this rpm must be 1655 140 kPa (240 20 psi). Move the governor control lever to increase the engine rpm to 1750 rpm. Check to see if pressure reading is the same as the original reading at this pressure.4. If the signal pressure is not correct, move the governor control lever to 1750 rpm to make an adjustment to underspeed valve (4). If the signal pressure is too low, turn adjustment screw (8) out. If the signal pressure is too high, turn the adjustment screw in.7. Move the governor control lever to decrease the engine speed in steps of approximately 50 rpm. Write down the engine speed and signal pressure at each step. Keep the engine speed as constant as possible at each step. Do the test until the signal pressure is equal to 2070 175 kPa (300 25 psi).8. Start this part of the test with the signal pressure at 2070 175 kPa (300 25 psi). Move the lever for the throttle control to increase the engine speed in steps of approximately 50 rpm. Write down the engine speed and signal pressure at each step. Do this until the engine speed is at 1800 rpm.Change Page 109, Steps 1, 4 and 5 to read as follows:
1. Install the two special 5P7336 Bolts in the end housings for main control valves for bucket and stick. (See HOUSING MODIFICATION in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE CHECKS section of this module for instalation procedure).4. With all pilot control valves in NEUTRAL, slowly turn both bolts into the housings of the bucket and stick valves until the engine is at 1800 5 rpm. Keep the pressures in the front and rear pump circuits at the same value during this test.5. To adjust the summing valve, remove cap (3) and loosen the nut under the cap. Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to decrease and counterclockwise to increase pressure. One complete turn changes the pressure 40 kPa (6 psi). Adjust the hex head screw to give a signal pressure of 1000 20 kPa (145 3 psi).Make the following changes to Item 4, "Pump Relief Pressures" of
