Information:


Do not remove any pins from the wheel lean bar until the lockpin has been installed. Personal injury can be the result if the wheels move when one of the pins is removed.
1. Install lockpin (1) in the wheel lean bar and the front axle.2. Lift the front of the machine enough to get the weight off the axle. Install tooling (A) as supports under the front axle near each wheel.3. Fasten tooling (B) to both wheel lean arms and the frame. 4. Remove the nuts, washers and bolts (2). Remove lock (3). Remove bolt (5) and retainer (6) from each end of the pin. Remove the pin from wheel lean bar (4). Remove lockpin (1) from the wheel lean bar. Fasten a hoist to the wheel lean bar. 5. Remove the nuts, washers and bolts (8). Remove lock (7). Remove bolt (9) and retainer (10) from each end of the pin. Remove the pin from wheel lean bar (4). 6. Remove the wheel lean bar (4). The weight of the wheel lean bar is approximately 180 lb. (82 kg). 7. Remove the two seals and the bearing from each end of wheel lean bar (4) with tooling (C).8. If the bearing is damaged and can not be removed with tooling (C), use tooling (D) to remove the bearing from the wheel lean bar.Install Wheel Lean Bar
1. Lower the temperature of bearing (1). Use tooling (A) as shown to install the bearing in the wheel lean arm. Install the bearing so it is .282 .016 in. (7.16 0.41 mm) into the wheel lean bar as measured from the bottom side. Do this step again for the bearing in the other end of the wheel lean bar. 2. Install a new seal in each end of the wheel lean bar with tooling (B). Install with the lip of the seal toward the outside surface. 3. Fasten a hoist to wheel lean bar (2). Put it in position on the machine. Install the lock pin in the wheel lean bar and the front axle. The weight of the wheel lean bar is approximately 180 lb. (82 kg). 4. Put right wheel lean arm (3) in alignment with wheel lean bar (2) with tooling (C). Install pin (4) through the wheel lean bar, the wheel lean arm and the wheel lean cylinder. Make sure the groove in the pin is in alignment with the opening in the wheel lean arm. Install the lock, bolts, washers and the nuts that hold the pin. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 185 10 lb.ft. (251 14 N m). Do this step again for the other end of the wheel lean bar. Step 5 is for earlier model machines only. Later model machines have a longer pin and do not need the shims to keep the gap between the retainer and the wheel lean bar.5. Shims must be used between retainer (5) and the pin at each end on the
